What is the Thunder Beach Spring Rally?
Thunder Beach Spring Rally is the biannual biking rally held in Panama City Beach. The spring Panama City Beach music festival is held the first weekend of May every year and the last weekend of October in the Fall. Bikers, vendors, and enthusiasts flock to Panama City Beach for four days of great food, awesome music, and fantastic weather.
Over two hundred vendors come to sell their bike-themed wares. Even local bars, pubs, and restaurants partake in the fun and host themed events and activities. Over 60,000 biking enthusiasts show up from all over the country to one of Panama’s oldest events. Full of contests, shows, stunt devils, and category judging, this Rally is hard to beat. There is even a Miss Thunder Beach Pageant held at Hammerheads Fred’s.
What To Expect
Music
There is no shortage of shows to enjoy. There are three stages that hold several bands throughout the event for all four days. The main stage is where you’ll find all the headliners, like Lynard Skynyrd, Rob Zombie, and Buckcherry, to name a few. Thunder Beach Saloon Stage and The Strip Stage will also host several great bands. Tons of local bands will be playing throughout the weekend as well. Rock out to some well-known classics and maybe even get an autograph!
Vendors
With over 200 vendors headed down, there is something for everyone, from delicious snacks and treats to vendors selling everything from leathers to jewelry to big wheel kits and performance upgrades!
As always, Bay County Vet Center will host a booth full of promotional items to help support VA suicide prevention and VA center services. Several vendors will be hosting raffles with some fantastic prizes! Halifax Urban Ministries will be raffling off a brand-new Harley and trailer! Another, the F.A.I.T.H. Riders, will give away a $500 gift card! From food, like the coconut shrimp at the Caribbean Cafe, to masterfully handcrafted jewelry, there is something here for everyone.
Bike Shows
The main attraction of this Rally is the bike shows. Hosted by wonderful companies like Baggerz and Tails and Urban Rides Cycle Showdown, different shows are held daily. The official Thunder Beach Sound Competition held by Area 51 is located at The Strip and is sure to be a roaring event. See the Best of Thunder Beach Bike Show hosted by Florida Full Throttle Magazine. See which beauty they decide is the best of the best. Nothing is better than a classic bike.
These chrome wonders were truly built to last. The Official Thunder Beach Antique Bike Show is filled with breathtaking motorcycles. There are too many to count.
