Your Guide to the Best Panama City Beach Restaurants for Breakfast

While staying in one of our Panama City Beach rentals, you can always utilize the fully equipped kitchen, but when you’re on vacation, who wants to prepare every meal? Fortunately, Panama City Beach is known for its buzzing culinary scene.

In addition to its many local attractions, Panama City has a long list of restaurants worth paying a visit. For the best breakfast in Panama City Beach, be sure to visit these restaurants and cafes.

Stingrays at The Dunes Of Panama

Phone: 850.235.8373

Looking for a quick bite to eat without leaving our gorgeous property? Stop by Stingray’s and try some waffles with berries & cream, sausage egg and cheese croissant, fresh fruit, & more! Stingrays is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even just a quick snack on your way to or from the beach. Not hungry? No problem! Stingrays offers an assortment of delicious daiquiris, coladas, and margaritas that can be made with or without alcohol! Make sure to stop by and say hello while you stay with us at Dunes Of Panama.

Sunrise Cafe and Bakery

For a charming breakfast experience and welcoming atmosphere, Sunrise Café and Bakery await. The restaurant includes several unexpected dishes to form a unique menu unlike anything else in Panama City Beach. Menu items can be divided into classic American dishes and international specialties. Typical menu items include eggs, waffles, burgers, and wraps. Beyond these standard breakfast items, however, visitors can sample diverse plates from Russia, Uzbekistan, and Eastern Europe. These unique flavors are difficult to come by anywhere else!

The restaurant is also prepared if you have children with very particular tastes. While you might want to explore new flavors, your children will likely enjoy what they already know. For this reason, the restaurant includes a kid-friendly menu that includes cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and all the essentials like chips, fries, or fresh fruit.

Sweet-tooths will appreciate the dessert selection. The Sunrise Bakery provides incredible, always freshly made cakes and pastries. Grab a to-go box for a donut or muffin if you’re on the run, but if you have the time, it’s worthwhile to enjoy a coffee with your pastry while enjoying the café’s atmosphere.

If you’re overwhelmed with the options and not quite sure what to offer, consider dishes like Pelmeni, Russian Borscht, or the Uzbek Kabob. Pelmeni is Russian meat dumplings served with sour cream; a single order includes twelve pieces. They make an excellent meal or appetizer, depending on how hungry you are!

Russian Borscht is a hearty beef bouillon soup loaded with carrots, onion, cabbage, beets, potatoes, and beef. Top this off with sour cream for a truly satisfying meal! The Uzbek Kabob includes delicious tender beef skewers, and each order comes with two kabobs and tomato and onion on the side. Of course, you can’t go wrong with more conventional, American-style plates, like the aptly named Traditional Plate.

Visit the restaurant/café at 10616 Front Beach Road. Opening hours are from Tuesday to Saturday between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Helpful tips for planning your visit: Parking can be a hassle when visiting, so consider planning if you intend to come by car. Also, if you’re particularly interested in exotic specialty items, they must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance.

Jesse’s Place

In need of comfort food? Look no further than Jesse’s Place! Here, you’ll find the kind of meals typically associated with a warm and welcoming grandmother. While the restaurant may appear a bit older and out of date, the food and friendly service make you instantly feel right at home.

Some menu highlights include hearty breakfasts like Country Ham, Jacob’s Favorite, and Country Fried Steak with Sausage Gravy. The Country Ham is served with a 10-ounce country ham steak, two eggs, grits, and hash browns or fresh fruit. Diners can also select between biscuits, toast, or English muffins.

Jacob’s Favorite includes two eggs atop corned beef hash, grits, hash browns, or fresh fruit, and diner’s choice of English muffin, biscuit, or toast. What is most impressive about the plate is its colossal size! One can imagine such a plate feeding hungry farmers heading out the fields.

Visit Jesse’s place at 7008 Thomas Drive. Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The earlier you get there, the more likely you will beat the crowd! This is ideal because Jesse’s Place is small and has limited seating. There is also plenty of off-street parking nearby.

Gypsea Crepes

Though it might not look like much from the exterior, Gypsea Crepes delivers. It is one of Panama City Beach’s best-kept culinary secrets, one that offers an intricate blend of flavors for savory and sweet crepes that take on a Japanese twist. This is their first exposure to Japanese-style crepes, a popular street food staple in Harajuku for many visitors. Every crepe is artfully arranged to look like an edible bouquet. Not only is this beautiful, but it allows for an even distribution of ingredients throughout each crepe.

Some famous crepes include The John John, which consists of ham, cheddar, lettuce, onion, and tomato; The Slater, which includes apple, cranberries, brie cheese, and honey mustard; and The Miki, a Thai-flavored crepe available with peanut sauce, cilantro, sriracha, lettuce, onion, and tomato. The Thruster Fruits With Cheesecake is the ultimate dessert pancake, allowing you to choose three fruits and combine them with the delicious flavor of cheesecake plus chocolate sauce and fresh whipped cream.

While most visitors order crepes straight from the menu, you are also encouraged to customize. Don’t be afraid to design your crepe! Wash down your crepes with coffee, juice, soda, or iced tea. Locally-crafted kombucha is also for sale.

Stop by Gypsea Crepes at 7012 Thomas Drive in Lower Grand Lagoon. Opening hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. As a helpful tip, the restaurant may seem complete when you arrive because seating is limited. However, the restaurant clears out quickly, so you don’t have to anticipate waiting long!
