What is Aaron Bessant Park?

Aaron Bessant Park is so much more than your average park; it’s a full-scale entertainment destination. This huge facility has more than 70 acres for guests to explore. Throughout the park, you’ll find various paved walkways that take you between the gorgeous and well-kept festival lawns, and in the middle of it all, there’s a huge outdoor amphitheater that hosts concerts and events throughout the year.

But that’s not all! Aaron Bessant Park also features a Veteran’s Memorial toward the southeast corner. This memorial is meant to honor all U.S. military veterans who have served our country, and it’s a great place to reflect on our freedoms.

What Can You Do There?

Of all the parks in Panama City Beach, Aaron Bessant Park arguably has the most to do. Of course, you can stroll along the pathways with your loved ones and enjoy the sunshine, or you can head two blocks away and visit the ocean! While you’re in the park itself, the entire family is welcome, even your four-legged friends! Dogs are always welcome at Aaron Bessant Park, as long as they are leashed and cleaned up after.

Walking/Biking Trails

We briefly mentioned the walking trails available at Aaron Bessant Park, but they’re worth discussing in more detail. The park has three looping trails that are perfect for walking or biking: the North Loop, the South Loop, and the Amphitheater Loop. No matter which loop you choose to walk, you’ll have an incredible view of the sprawling park and safe, paved paths on which to travel.

Aaron Bessant Park is open daily during daylight hours and for scheduled events. The park is located at 600 Pier Park Drive.
